Fibre/Fixed networks

ISR have extensive capability in fibre roll out in line with BDUK’s ambitions. We have helped regional and national operators win regional funding through the bid and tender process and have gone on to support them through mobilisation by building out their design and implementation teams, and follow up B2C/B2B sales. In particular we have demonstrated an ability to support rural areas where traditional operators do not have a presence and telecom skills are at a minimum.

Successful placements include Fibre Engineer, Fibre Project Manager, Network Build Manager, Regional Build Manager, Network Surveyor, Streetworks Manager, Streetworks Coordinator, Head of Planning and Performance, Head of Commercial, Field Sales Agent, Business Development Manager, Head of Networks, PIA Coordinator, PIA Manager, Build Assurance Engineer, Wholesale Product Manager, Network Engineer, Core Systems Engineer, OSS/BSS Architect, Wayleaves Officer, Civils Supervisor, SHEQ Manager, Quantity Surveyor.

We have worked with Consultancies looking at regulatory projects through to Vendors R&D teams. Our experience covers 4G, 5G, Microwave, WiFi, In-building and Small Cell.

Internet of Things / M2M / Smart Places

With an extensive pedigree in telecoms and systems engineering, ISR are perfectly placed to support the burgeoning and varied world of IoT applications. In particular we have a focus on Smart Places and Smart Buildings that includes both standard communications infrastructure and AV systems but also advanced and automated building controls, occupancy sensors, space reservations, energy management and accessibility information.

Future

The telecom sector never stops innovating. ISR have a long history of helping clients transition to the newest technologies where skill sets are rare. As 6G comes on line and with the adoption of xRAN, the continued increase in capacity and bandwidth combined with higher levels of security and lower latency means greater connectivity and new applications for lots of sectors.

These include logistics, autonomous vehicles, mining operations, healthcare, oil and gas operations. Creating teams to deploy and deliver these projects, products and applications will require a recruitment partner that understands both the applications and new technology requirements.
