- Home-based in the Glasgow area
- £34,000 to £38,000 per year (+ vehicle + regular overtime)

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for an engineer to conduct maintenance and repair of roadside technologies such as cameras, message signs and detectors.
You will work in a field-based capacity covering assets deployed around the Greater Glasgow area (with occasional trips to Northern England), conducting reactive and preventative maintenance activities as well as calibration and commissioning.
I am happy to speak to individuals coming from backgrounds in telecoms, CCTV/ANPR, security and alarms systems with some electrical knowledge/qualifications, particularly if you have any knowledge or interest in LAN and WAN Networks and IP Configuration and willingness to work on roadside technology.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer
- Experience of fault finding equipment at component level
- Hands on experience with CCTV, ANPR or roadside technology (highly desirable)
- Networking knowledge or certifications (CCNA/Comp TIA, etc.) (desirable)
- Current G39, HERS8, NRSWA, NHSS8 Qualification (highly desirable)
- Able to undertake planned night work and weekend working (1 in 4)
- Full UK drivers licence
Role and Responsibilities:
- Fault response and repair of roadside equipment
- Carry out routine maintenance visits on all equipment in line with provided schedule
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce fault rates
- Carry out fault finding to component level
- Root cause analysis of system faults.
- Coordinate with the lead engineers to arrange maintenance and inspection schedules
